About Creek Financial
I’m Neil Moncrief, founder of Creek Financial Services. From 1999 to 2007, I was co-owner of 2BigFeet.com, an e-commerce shoe store. In 2006, I began Creek Financial Services to provide an alternative to the high pressure salesmen who had called on me at our retail store in Albany, Georgia.
Agents often came in and tried to get my business. They’d begin by saying, “Tell me what you’re paying, and I’ll beat it.” I always told them that I’d be happy to consider their offer, but I’d need to see their quote first. When I told them we were an e-commerce business, they usually got confused and left.
When I decided to move on to a new career, I remembered those salesmen, and I knew I could do it better. At Creek Financial, it’s my policy to always give an upfront quote I can be proud of, whether I’m visiting a merchant’s store or issuing quotes online.
Few things irritate me more than a bait-and-switch, but many agents in this business rely on them. Instead, I go out of my way to help clients understand every rate and every fee. And if my clients ever need anything, I deliver it every time.
